Rohit Sharma serves as Legal Counsel, India, and South Asia at BD, (Becton, Dickinson, and Company), a leading global medical technology company headquartered in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. In this role, he will be responsible for corporate governance, resolving legal issues, as well as managing litigations and arbitrations and other commercial matters.
Rohit has robust experience of around 14 years in handling legal and compliance issues, undertaking risk analysis, managing crisis, driving anti-corruption, and advising pharmaceutical industry on varied issues. He holds the distinction of being recognized as one of the top General Counsels by Forbes India in the year 2023.
Prior to joining BD, Rohit has worked with Zimmer Biomet as Director, Legal & Compliance, South Asia. In the past, he has been associated as an Associate Partner in the Dispute Resolution vertical at Economic Laws Practice.
Rohit earned his Master of Laws (LL.M- Executive) from GLA University and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Kurukshetra University. He also holds a Diploma in Competition Law and Policy from the National Law University, Delhi and is a Life Individual Member of the Indian Council of Arbitration.
A cricket and avid travelling enthusiast, Rohit, in his free time, loves to play tennis with his daughter.
