The BD Vacutainer® Eclipse™ Blood Collection Needle is a sterile single, use medical device intended to be used by trained healthcare professionals for the collection of multiple venous bloods samples into evacuated blood collection tubes, for the purpose of in vitro diagnostic testing. It features a safety shield that allows for one-handed activation to cover the needle immediately upon withdrawal from the vein and confirms activation with an audible click. The safety mechanism reduces the possibility of needlestick injuries.
